The Programme:  You are invited to a meeting on genetics and genomics in dairy where you will learn how genomic testing can help you make more profit.

Jointly hosted by Kingsway Veterinary Group Farm Animal Practice and AHDB Dairy with presentations from Chris Bailey, Farm Animal Vet with specialist interest in Genomics and Andy Dodd of The Farm Consultancy Group.

What we will cover:

  • Choosing animals for genomic testing
  • Interpreting test results to make breeding decisions
  • Breeding indexes
  • Herd genetic improvement inc. health and breeding efficiency
  • Examples of results and report back to the farm
  • Understanding potential with Herd Genetic Reports 

Who should attend? Farmers responsible for making sure they are breeding the right cow for your farming system!
