COWSIGNALS: What are your cows telling you?- Lincolnshire

When: August 30th 2018 10:00 to 15:00
Location: LN8 2AU

As a dairy farmer you visually check your cows several times each day... but what do you see and what may you be missing?

Cows indicate their health and comfort through behaviour, posture and by displaying physical traits. When recognised and understood, these signals will help you to optimise the health and productivity of your cows and hence the profitability of your business.

These practical workshops will employ CowSignals Master Trainers to

  • Share the CowSignals concepts
  • Focus attention on key indicators of underlying problems
  • Highlight Risk areas and Risk animals
  • Encourage practical solutions to common problems

By taking part in this workshop you will

  • improve your understanding of what your cows are telling you
  • be empowered to reassess your cows environment from a fresh perspective
  • potentially improve the health and performance of your cows and the profitability of your business

The Workshop:

A practical on-farm session, limited to a maximum of 15 attendees running from 10am to 3pm. Aimed at farmers and herdspeople with herds that are housed for a large proportion of the year.  Lunch and refreshments are included.
