Investigating a low cost outdoor dairy beef system

Tuesday 12 June 13:30- 17:00 (Regional Food Academy Lecture Theatre) 

This event will provide an update on work to develop a low cost production system for dairy-bred beef calves. The key elements of the system are maximising output from grazed grass and reducing wintering costs by out-wintering on fodderbeet, before finishing during their second season at grass.

15:30          Farm walk to see cattle being rotationally grazed
