UK Feed Prices

Please note: Due to a publication break in the source of this data we are currently unable to update the UK Feed prices. A selection of prices are available on the AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds website here

Latest figures show that;

  • Between December 2016 and January 2017, Soyameal (Argentine), Soyameal Hipro and Feed Wheat saw an increase in average price, of £15.00, £8.50 and £3.75 respectively.
  • Rapeseed Meal (imp) and Maize Gluten both remained static on the month.  
  • The average price of Brewer’s Grains increased in both England and Scotland from December 2016 to January 2017. Compared with January 2016, English prices have increased by £1.50 while Scottish prices have increased by £14.00.

These prices with the exception of feed wheat and barley are for bulk loads of 29 tonne and for hauls under 10 miles.

All price targets are based on 20 tonne plus bulk deals available from national and local compounders and assume a minimum herd size of 100 head of cattle and/or 400 ewes and credit worthiness. Price ranges take account of three month supply contract deals and raw materials availability on a spot and/or forward basis.
