Bridget Lynch

Bridget is lecturer in grass and forage production at University College Dublin. She has been working in this area for the past eight years since the completion of her PhD in Animal Nutrition in 2008. Bridget’s current research programme at UCD Lyons Research Farm focuses on the agronomic strategies to improve forage production across a range of species including maize silage, alternative pasture species and grazing management strategies in higher input dairy systems. Bridget then follows this work through the farm system evaluating what impact these systems have on animal performance across dairy, beef and sheep production systems. A considerable portion of Bridget’s time is dedicated to disseminating the key outcomes of these projects through activities within the University and engagement with industry partners.
