Developments and opportunities for the dairy industry in the coming year will be highlighted in the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) Outlook Conference 2014.

The conference, jointly hosted by DairyCo, BPEX and EBLEX - together with AHDB Market Intelligence (MI), will be held at One Great George Street, in London, on Wednesday 12 February.

The Outlook 2014 programme will include an overview by AHDB MI on how the UK dairy industry can respond to emerging opportunities and threats.

Food and Farming Minister (Parliamentary Under Secretary of State) George Eustice MP will address representatives from the dairy, beef, lamb and pork supply chains when he opens the conference.

AHDB chairman John Godfrey said: “the AHDB Outlook Conference is a key fixture in the industry calendar. Market intelligence plays a crucial role in helping shape key business decisions and the conference will focus on issues that are seen to be instrumental to the development of the beef sheep, pig and dairy industries over the next year. ”

Also included in the agenda for the day (0930 – 1330) will be factors that will affect businesses in their respective sectors and international trade developments.
