Dairy Crest has confirmed that it will apply a 1.75ppl reduction to both its Liquid and Davidstow contracts, for supplies from 1 October. The current decline in global dairy markets has influenced this latest reduction, as half the butterfat supplied by its farmers is processed into butter and the other half sold on the commodity cream market.

The Dairy Crest Formula option remains open, with the company stating that the option removes some of the volatility in milk price changes.
