Arla Foods has announced plans to establish a business unit in Malaysia to support its expansion in the emerging markets of China and SE Asia. The company has also launched Arla® Protein, a new product in the UK yoghurt category, as part of its strategy to increase its brand presence in the UK. Both of these steps aim to increase revenues by furthering growth in emerging export markets as well as adding value to its milk, therefore increasing earning potential for its cooperative farmer members in Europe.
