The USDA world supply and demand estimates were released earlier this week, covering estimates for winter wheat plantings, US maize and soyabean production, quarterly US stocks data and the usual world supply and demand estimates. These estimates often influence world cereal market price trends.

In the build up to the data release, grain markets had fallen. The data release is expected to refresh market participants with the global supply and demand fundamentals after more than a month of markets being led by geopolitics. Further details on the impact of the data release on cereal markets can be found on the AHDB/HGCA website.
