Record volumes (60,537 tonnes) of SMP intervention stocks were accepted as sold in the most recent tender on 11 December, bringing total sales out of intervention to just over 277,000 tonnes. In addition to this, there was a huge rise in the minimum price set by the Commission; up €138/tonne on the previous tender, to €1451/tonne.
