AHDB Dairy at Livestock Event

Published 6 July 15

At this week’s Livestock Event you can find AHDB Dairy on stand AH 116. This year, we’re at a new location in the Animal Health Zone where we’ll be sharing the stand space with AHDB Beef and Lamb.

IIOHs Logo -v2Here you can find out more about our consumer campaign, ‘It’s in our hands’, as well as identify how AHDB Dairy can work with you to support and develop your business. Throughout both days, you will be able to hear more about what AHDB Dairy has to offer, ask questions about our research, communications activity and services.

In the Forage Field area, you will find Dr Debbie McConnell, AHDB Dairy R&D Manager, and Piers Badnell, AHDB Dairy Technical Extension Officer, who will be on hand to answer your questions.

AHDB Dairy R&D Manager, Dr Stephen Whelan, will be speaking at the Feed Science Forum about the results from the latest AHDB Dairy-funded research conducted at the University of Nottingham and Harper Adams University which focused on crude protein nutrition in cows yielding approximately 42kg per day.

Livestock Event _2Dairy calf rearers and their vets will be discussing rearing practices, at the AHDB-supported sessions, in the Animal Health Zone. Seminars with researchers from the AHDB Dairy Research Partnerships, and farm vets, involved with the Healthy Feet Programme, will take place alongside the practical foot trimming demonstrations. So come along and ask the experts your questions about managing foot health in cattle.
