Alternative methods of Starling control

Project details
To investigate  practical options for the  management of starling infestations on dairy farms in the Somerset levels. The work will also be relevant to similar problems, in other areas of the country.

The report provides information on:

  • How infestations by wild birds arise
  • Bird behaviour, including seasonal patterns
  • Economic impact how wild bird infestation can be avoided / adverse impact reduced
