Dairy Pro - The Professional Development Register

To meet the challenges posed during the next 20 years it is recognised that farmers and livestock producers will need to become even more skilful, efficient and informed about new technologies.

For British dairy farmers and dairy workers the development of the Dairy Pro will mean that their professionalism will be recognised by their peers, suppliers and customers.

With funding received from the Residual Milk Marketing Board and DairyCo for the first 3 years (Dec 2011 - Nov 2014), with the aim that  the dairy industry, as a whole, will adopt the register enabling it to be self funding.

Dairy Pro, launched at the Livestock Event 2012, provides its members with individual profiles to register all events and training attended and skills obtained.

Scheme Membership comes in 3 forms;

Full- Open to all Dairy farmers and farm workers with 12 months+ dairy experience

Associate- Open to all dairy industry non-farm workers

Student- Open to all students and farm workers with less than 12 months experience (proof of course(s) and college/university will be required)
