Raw milk supplies in the EU have seen limited growth so far in 2019. The total volume of milk deliveries in the 12-months to May 2019 was 0.2% higher, and 0.5% higher in terms of solids. GB dairy registration data from British Cattle Movement Society (BCMS) is now available. According to the latest data, dairy calvings for January-June 19 saw a slight fall of 0.1% from the same period last year. Total numbers for the six months were at 661k, supported by a strong March birth figure. Rises seen in Q1 this year were negated by the drop in the Q2 calf registrations.
