A proactive approach to herd health through best practice biosecurity.
This webinar aims to discuss the challenges of biosecurity on farm and how this relates to common production limiting diseases such as IBR, BVD, Neospora and Johne’s disease. Recent findings regarding the different disease processes and practical suggestions about herd immunity and herd health management will be discussed to help farmers prioritize biosecurity improvements on their farm.
The speaker, Dr Wendela Wapenaar is a Clinical Associate Professor in Cattle Health and Epidemiology from the University of Nottingham. Before Nottingham, Wendela worked in farm practice in The Netherlands, New Zealand, Canada and the UK. Her teaching and research involves cattle reproduction, biosecurity, infectious disease control and effective knowledge transfer of research findings into veterinary practice.
