UK daily milk deliveries have dipped below last year’s levels for the first time in the current milk year. This is likely to be due to lower farmgate prices giving little incentive to push for extra litres, combined with the year’s variable silage quality. However, with only six weeks of the current milk year remaining, cumulative deliveries still stand around 6% higher than the same period last year.
